1. Service Description

Vela AI provides an AI-powered phone receptionist service for businesses. The service answers inbound calls, takes messages, and sends notifications to business owners via SMS and email. By signing up, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. SMS Communications

As part of the Vela AI service, you will receive transactional SMS messages to the phone number provided during signup. These messages include call summaries, booking alerts, and account notifications. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. Opting out of SMS does not cancel your service — notifications will continue via email.

3. Payment and Billing

Vela AI charges a one-time setup fee and a recurring monthly subscription fee based on your selected plan. Invoices are sent via email. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly. You may cancel at any time by contacting support.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Vela AI only for legitimate business purposes. You may not use the service to conduct illegal activity, send spam, or impersonate another party. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party providers (Twilio, Vapi, cloud infrastructure) or circumstances beyond our control.

6. Limitation of Liability

Vela AI is not liable for missed calls, lost business, or damages resulting from service interruption. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the service in the preceding month.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate the service at any time. Upon termination, your phone number and AI assistant will be decommissioned. Data may be retained for up to 30 days after termination.
